About Us

The RED is Live Coal's interactive children's art museum. Live Coal is a non-profit organization founded and directed by Detroit artist Yvette Rock. The RED features a permanent collection of student art, hosts exhibitions, workshops, art camps, performances, and more. The RED will re-open its doors to the public in summer 2024 at 80 Clairmount, Detroit, MI 48202.

PERMANENT COLLECTION

The RED has a large collection of artwork created by Detroit-area youth. The collection is owned by Yvette Rock and Live Coal Gallery, LLC. As it continues to grow, the non-profit organization will begin acquiring new works made by Detroit area youth to add to the collection!
